ABSTRACT

This article gives details on a project of rural development applied to Sierra Norte, a zone of the madrid - Spain Community, important aspects such as social and environmental, besides the traditional economic and technical factors, are considered in the methodology proposed in this work. Social aspects are included as the first step of the process and development initiatives are incorporated using a filter methodology. It is concluded that the method has allowed the integration of the people in rural communities, becoming the main actors of their own development and progress.
