With a PhD in Agricultural Engineering, Alfonso Gómez has dedicated his career to entrepreneurship, education and innovation, merging academia with active roles in the private sector. He is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Agricultural Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Within the university, he is part of the Department of Agroforestry Engineering. For almost 30 years, he has led the Stereocarto company in general management and commercial functions, driving its national and international growth and making it a benchmark in geospatial engineering. In addition, he has contributed to the creation of complementary businesses to strengthen Stereocarto's consolidation and expand its presence in Europe and Latin America, serving governments, public and private companies, and engineering firms that require spatial data for decision-making. From the beginning, Alfonso has researched new methods and applications of geographic information, leading significant innovative projects in territorial knowledge and management, thus consolidating his leadership in the field.
